Features

Compressor Unit
Single-stage, heavy-duty rotary screw air end with asymmetrical lobe profile rotors.  The Sullair air end is warranted for two years against defects in materials and workmanship, and loss of capacity due to wear.

Inlet Suction Control
This system matches the amount of intake air with the amount of compressed air required.

The inlet suction controls gives 0 to 100 percent stepless demand by using a back pressure regulator valve.

Separation
Remote-mounted ASME pressure vessel includes a two-stage air/fluid separator and a pressure relief valve.

An oil scavenge line returns the captured fluid to injection ports in the compressor unit.
Fluid Cooler Package
Compressor fluid is air-cooled by an electric motordriven fan.  The fluid cooler package can be mounted in a variety of locations. The automatic temperature control maintains correct fluid operating temperature.
Protective Controls
Automatic shutdown or disengagement of this compressor system in the unlikely event of overtemperature or overpressure.  Pressure relief safety valve, minimum pressure orifice, automatic air pressure relief upon shutdown, oil fill plug safety relief.
Engine Speed Control
These systems are matched to the vehicle engine type and model.  On vehicles with mechanical governors a pneumatically controlled system is commonly used which regulates speed to meet air demand.  On electronically controlled engines, interface modules provide for the most effective system and work with the vehicle electronics to provide speed control.

Filter
Full-flow fluid filter has a built-in bypass valve and spin on element.

Two-stage dry type air filter for compressor air inlet is remotely mounted to draw in cool ambient air.
Instruments
Under hood, in-dash, below-dash, or remote-mounted instrument panel with air pressure gauge, oil temperature gauge and hourmeter.  Fluid level sight glass and filler cap are located on receiver tank.
Application Requirement
Submit truck data form D-25 for review and approval by Vanair engineering.
